Herat-Based International Soft Drink Company “SuperCola” Wins First Place in Afghanistan’s Export Rankings
The leadership of the Herat Chamber of Commerce and Investment congratulates this great achievement, first to Mr. Haji Mohammad Latif Qanawiziyan, First Deputy of the Herat Chamber and CEO of “SuperCola,” and second, to all the dedicated employees of this major production company in Afghanistan.
It is noteworthy that “SuperCola,” based in Herat, earned this prestigious title for the sixth consecutive year during the National Export Day ceremony organized by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce of Afghanistan.
Herat Chamber of Commerce President Participates in Major "Saffron Flower" and Domestic Products Exhibition
The honorable President of the Herat Chamber of Commerce and Investment participated in the major exhibition titled “Saffron Flower” and Domestic Products of Herat Province, inaugurated today at the Grand Aseman Hall in Herat. The event was attended by the Deputy Spokesperson of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, heads of sectoral departments of Herat Province, traders, investors, and industrialists.
During the exhibition, Mr. Mohammad Younus Qazizadah, President of the Herat Chamber of Commerce and Investment, welcomed the initiative and stated that Afghanistan, especially Herat Province, has significant capacity for the cultivation and harvesting of saffron. He highlighted that Herat's saffron has achieved first place globally. He also praised the efforts of Afghanistan’s national investors in strengthening the country's industry and noted that Afghan industry is steadily growing.
Also speaking at the event were Mr. Mawlawi Bashir Mohammad Seerat, Head of Industry and Commerce of Herat, Mr. Ahmadullah Muttaqi, Head of Information and Culture of Herat, along with several other provincial officials, who addressed the importance of saffron and the value of Afghanistan’s domestic industry.
It is worth mentioning that this large exhibition features over 60 booths showcasing various products from Herat’s Industrial City and will remain open to the public for four days.
With the Determination and Courage of Herat’s Private Sector, Returning Compatriots Reach Kabul!
Today, the volunteer team of the Herat Private Sector Assistance Committee was dispatched to the Islam Qala border to support and follow the dignified transfer process of returning Afghan compatriots. A number of returnees were also transported to Kabul.
It is worth noting that, in addition to those returning through Islam Qala, several displaced individuals from within Herat city were also identified and transported to Kabul by the same committee.
The dignified transportation of returning citizens continues to be carried out daily by the Herat Private Sector Assistance Committee.
From Herat to Kabul! Dignified Transportation of Returning Afghan Migrants with Support from Herat’s Private Sector
The dignified transportation of returning Afghan migrants from the Islamic Republic of Iran — from the Islam Qala border to the nation’s capital — is being carried out with the courageous support of Herat’s private sector.
Mr. Mohammad Younus Qazizada, Head of the Herat Chamber of Commerce and Investment and Chairman of the Herat Private Sector Assistance Committee; Mr. Alhaj Naser Amin, member of the Committee and Chairman of the Chamber of Industries and Mines of the province; Mr. Alhaj Abdullah Dashti, Deputy of Services; Mr. Alhaj Engineer Mohammad Gul Mahmoodi, Finance Director; Mr. Mohammad Yousuf Amin, Executive Officer; along with several staff members of the Herat Chamber, traveled to the Islam Qala border. After assessing the situation — currently well under control by local authorities — they initiated the large-scale transportation of Afghan migrants from the border to Kabul.
The Private Sector Assistance Committee of Herat was established through the initiative of Sheikh-ul-Hadith wal-Tafsir Alhaj Mawlawi Noor Ahmad Islamjar, Governor of Herat, and with the participation of national traders and generous philanthropists of the province. In coordination with local authorities at the border, the committee officially began the dignified relocation process starting today.
It is worth noting that the committee, chaired by Mr. Qazizada, is scheduled to transfer five thousand (5,000) returning Afghan migrants from today onward to Kabul, fully funded by Herat’s private sector.
Herat Chamber of Commerce Organizes Financial Workshop on Analysis, Risk Management, and Planning
The Herat Chamber of Commerce and Investment held a one-day workshop titled “Financial Analysis, Financial Risk Management, and Financial Planning” in technical collaboration with the Business Advisory Center of the Faculty of Economics, Herat University. The event was attended by several investors, traders, and representatives of the private sector.
At the opening of the workshop, Mr. Mohammad Younus Qazizada, Head of the Herat Chamber, emphasized that the leadership of the Chamber is clearly demonstrating its commitment to the growth and sustainable development of local trade through such initiatives. He highlighted financial analysis, risk management, and planning as essential tools for better business management.
Specialists and university professors then provided detailed and practical insights to the participants on the core topics of the workshop. They pointed out that many startups lack the financial analysis skills necessary to evaluate profitability, control costs, and attract investment—and such workshops can significantly boost these capabilities.
The Herat Chamber announced plans to organize more specialized educational workshops in the future in collaboration with the Business Advisory Center at the Faculty of Economics, Herat University. These programs aim to enhance financial literacy, introduce business opportunities, and empower local entrepreneurs while fostering knowledge exchange among economic stakeholders.
Herat Chamber of Commerce and Investment Leadership Meets with Afghanistan’s General Directorate of Physical Education and Sports – Supporting National Athletes
The leadership of the Herat Chamber of Commerce and Investment held a meeting with the honorable Head of the General Directorate of Physical Education and Sports of Afghanistan and his delegation to discuss support for sports and athletes in the country.
Attendees included Haji Ahmad Saeed Siddiqi (Deputy of Trade), Haji Engineer Mohammad Gul Mahmoodi (Head of Finance), Haji Syed Jamaluddin Hashimi (Head of International Affairs), and Mohammad Yousuf Amin (Executive Director of the Chamber). They emphasized the commitment of the private sector to supporting sports and athletes and expressed willingness to cooperate with the General Directorate in organizing major national sports initiatives.
Hamdullah Wasiq, the General Director of Physical Education and Sports of Afghanistan, thanked the private sector for its continuous support and stated that a major international sports event will soon be held in Herat with athletes from multiple countries. He requested support from the Herat Chamber of Commerce and Investment to successfully organize this program.
It is worth noting that the leadership of the Herat Chamber promised full cooperation to ensure the successful execution of this major event.
