The meeting began with the presence of the Head of the Directorate, Haji Abdul Qadir; Deputy for Services, Mohammad Hashim Marghawal; Finance Director, Sohbat Khan Sabari; and Executive Manager, Hamed Rasooli.
At the outset, the Head of the Directorate welcomed the guests. The visitors, Mr. Bruet and his colleague Mr. Shaheen, thanked the hosts and explained the purpose of their visit.
They discussed how to strengthen the private sector and what major challenges exist in the business area so that donors could be found and cooperation could be initiated to resolve them.

The Director called this a positive step and stated that the province is agricultural in nature and faces several challenges, such as the lack of a standard agricultural system, issues with water management, and the absence of professional experts to provide awareness to farmers regarding the standardization of agricultural products.
He also pointed out the lack of cold storage facilities for preserving the quality of agricultural products.

Next, Deputy Marghawal highlighted issues including lack of visas for traders, existence of non-standard agricultural systems, absence of loan facilities for supporting traders, and the need for public awareness programs to establish a standard agricultural framework.
Finance Director Sabari raised concerns about the banking system, and Executive Manager Rasooli called for creating opportunities for small entrepreneurs and finding donors to support female entrepreneurs financially.

Mr. Bruet acknowledged the issues and stated they would try to assist in resolving them, provide facilities for local investors and traders, and generally support all efforts aimed at strengthening the private sector, and would share the matters with the international community.

The regular meeting of the Board of Directors of the Zabul Chamber of Commerce and Investment was held. The meeting began with the recitation of several verses from the Holy Quran.

Present at the meeting were the honorable Chairman of the Chamber, Al-Haj Abdul Qadir, Deputy for Investment Haji Aminullah Momin, Chairman of the Dried Fruits Union of Qalat City, Haji Abdul Sattar Kochi, and his deputy Haji Nematullah, Chairman of the Health Union Dr. Esmatullah Afghan, Chairman of the Industrial Committee Haji Rahimullah Rahimi, Chairman of the Flour Market Committee Haji Abdul Sattar Afghan, Chairman of the Shamalzai District Committee Mullah Dour Mohammad Hemat, Chairman of the Union of Kandahar-based Traders Rahimullah Kochi and his deputy Haji Ali Mohammad, and Executive Director Hamed Rasooli.

Later, the honorable chairman, Al-Haj Abdul Qadir, shared details of his recent trip to Kabul, where he held meetings with senior officials from the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, Customs Department, Ministry of Finance, and other respected government bodies, and discussed the problems of the province directly with them.

Following that, Haji Nematullah and Mullah Dour Mohammad spoke briefly and provided additional information about the trip. Discussions were also held regarding the construction of roads in the Shamalzai district and the conditions for the distribution of industrial park land. Participants exchanged views on these matters.

Later, internal issues of the chamber were also discussed, and necessary decisions were made.

This meeting took place at the central office of Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment, attended by: Mr. Khan Mohammad Sarfaraz Baz, Head of the Leadership Board’s Secretariat; Mr. Syed Javed Burhan, Head of International Relations of the Leadership Board; Khan Jan Alkozi, Head of the Afghan-Pak Joint Chamber; members of the board including Ziauddin Achakzai and Mirzaman Popal, Deputy of Finance and Administration of the Executive Directorate of the Chamber.

At the beginning, Mr. Mohammad Hashim Mirghawal, Deputy of Zabul Province Chamber of Commerce and Investment, shared the existing problems of the private sector in the province with the chamber leadership and requested the resolution of these issues through the central chamber.

After hearing the problems presented by the Deputy of Zabul Chamber, the chamber leadership stated that they have always strived to resolve the problems of all members of the country’s private sector. They added that Zabul Chamber should formally submit their problems in writing to the central chamber so that the central chamber, in accordance with the law and in coordination with relevant government officials, can take necessary actions to resolve these issues.

The meeting was chaired by Zabul Deputy Governor, Alhaj Mawlawi Mohibullah Hamas, with the participation of heads of sectoral departments, provincial officials of institutions, and representatives.

Haji Amir, the head of the Economy Department, emphasized that institutions carry a significant responsibility in the service sector and must utilize their resources to the fullest extent.

Afterward, reports on decisions from the previous meeting were presented, and Mr. Hamas welcomed the participants. He called on all officials to work responsibly and in coordination with relevant departments for the implementation of both development and non-development programs.

Mr. Hamas stressed the restoration of historical monuments, especially the reconstruction of "Qalat Baba" Citadel in Qalat city.
He also urged comprehensive cooperation from the responsible departments to solve the problems of returning refugees.

Mawlawi Abdul Ghani Ehsan, Head of the Refugees Department, said that Zabul is one of the economically weakest provinces, and due to war and poverty, many of its residents have migrated.
He emphasized that greater attention must be paid to returning refugees.

At the end of the meeting, the Governor of Zabul, Alhaj Mullah Sher Mohammad Sharif, also participated and thanked the institutions for their services.
He expressed joy that a group of high-level officials has gathered for the development and reconstruction of the country.
He assured that there will be extensive cooperation with all relevant departments in ensuring transparency and solving problems.
