Nighttime Literary Gathering and Poetry Session Held in the Courtyard of Logar Directorate of Information and Culture

Details
01 July 2025

A special literary gathering and poetry session was organized at night in the courtyard of the Logar Directorate of Information and Culture. The event was initiated by Mr. Rafiullah Samim, Director of Information and Culture, with financial support and collaboration from the leadership and board of the Logar Chamber of Commerce and Investment.

The event began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran. Mr. Samim then welcomed the guests, poets, writers, and literary figures, and gave a short speech highlighting the importance of poetry in society.

He especially thanked the private sector entrepreneurs of Logar, particularly the leadership of the Chamber of Commerce and Investment, for their continued support of such cultural and literary events, stating that their contributions have given new life and meaning to Logar’s culture, traditions, literature, and arts.

The event was organized in alignment with the official decrees of Amir al-Mu’minin Sheikh Hibatullah (may Allah preserve him), during which poets presented their verses in melodious voices.

Organized with the cooperation of the Chamber of Commerce, the gathering also carried a message of growth and development for the private sector.

Officials and attendees expressed deep gratitude to the leadership and board members of the Chamber of Commerce for their efforts and emphasized that such programs should continue regularly to promote development in economic, cultural, political, and even military spheres—and to serve as a positive example for other regions.

Among the participants were:

  • Mullah Mohammad Yaqub Momand, President of the Logar Chamber of Commerce and Investment

  • Haji Faizullah Totakhil, First Deputy

  • Haji Abdul Shakoor Siraj, Deputy for Services

  • Abdul Latif Zaland, Executive Manager

  • Other board members and representatives of the private sector

Logar Chamber of Commerce & Investment

In coordination with the Logar Chamber of Commerce and Investment, investment opportunities for establishing a cement plant have been surveyed at the Altamur Mountain and Kotul Tira mines by a Chinese company. Although the project is considered a major initiative, according to Chinese engineers, the company has not yet finalized or submitted its investment proposal or technical plans. Additionally, a citizen of Kazakhstan has expressed interest and made initial commitments to invest in the extraction of lead and both precious and semi-precious stones in collaboration with the chamber.
