Chamber of Commerce and Investment with the participation of representatives from the Union of Fuel Sellers, Transport Companies Association, Money Changers Union, Food Suppliers Union, Transit, Fertilizer & Sugar Traders, Export Union, Tourism Companies Union, and other active unions of Nimroz province.
The meeting was chaired by Haji Ghulam Mohammad Nurzai, Deputy of the Nimroz Chamber of Commerce and Investment. The objective was to establish effective coordination for delivering humanitarian assistance to returnee refugees and to improve the long-term relief process.
During the session, union representatives shared their opinions and suggestions regarding the organization, prioritization, and fair distribution of aid, emphasizing transparency and justice. The importance of joint cooperation between the private sector and local residents was also highlighted.
Nimroz Chamber of Commerce & Investment
The Nimroz Chamber of Commerce and Investment, established in 2002 (1381 SH), has consistently served as the voice of the province’s private sector. It has acted as a true mediator between Nimroz province in Afghanistan and Sistan and Baluchestan province in Iran, achieving notable progress in facilitating cross-border trade. Key initiatives include the completion of public welfare projects, such as drilling drinking water wells and installing a water distribution system valued at 2.5 million Afghanis—personally led by the chamber’s president, Haji Obaidullah Noori. Currently, the construction of a second dirt road is underway to increase vehicle traffic across the border.
