The Honorable Deputy of Trade Affairs of the Herat Chamber of Commerce and Investment took part in a joint cooperation agreement signing ceremony between the Herat Governor’s Office, the Directorate of Industry and Commerce, the Herat Chamber of Commerce and Investment, the Chamber of Industries and Mines of Herat, the Artisans’ Chamber, the Directorate of Economy, the Directorate of Agriculture, and the Business Advisory Center of the Faculty of Economics, Herat University.
This ceremony, held in the Islamic Garden and attended by Sheikh-ul-Hadith wal-Tafsir Al-Haj Mawlana Noor Ahmad Islamjar, Governor of Herat Province, highlighted the importance of academic institutions providing essential advisory support to traders, investors, and industrialists. The Governor noted that the signing of this agreement will significantly boost the commercial activities of the private sector in Herat.
In this event, Al-Haj Ahmad Saeed Siddiqi, Deputy of Trade Affairs of the Herat Chamber of Commerce and Investment, also welcomed the agreement, emphasizing the urgent need for a specialized environment in Afghanistan’s trade and industry sectors. He added that academic institutions in Afghanistan should establish faculties focused on enhancing students’ industrial knowledge to support the country’s trade and industrial growth.
This cooperation agreement was signed among several sectoral institutions and aims to foster specialized trade and industry in Afghanistan and particularly in Herat Province.
