Cash and in-kind assistance from Kabul, which had been collected through the efforts of the designated Kabul Aid collection and coordination committee, was handed over to the committee for assisting earthquake victims of Kunar province.
These contributions amounting to nearly 2.5 million Afghanis and approximately USD 11,000 in cash, along with dozens of different types of goods—were collected through the efforts of the designated committee composed of representatives of governmental institutions, the Kabul Chamber of Commerce and Investment (KCCI), and other private sector entities. The aid was delivered to Kunar province by representatives of the committee and formally handed over to the provincial authorities.
During a meeting with the committee representatives, the deputy governor of Kunar province expressed gratitude for the cash and in-kind assistance sent from Kabul, particularly from the Kabul provincial authority, and called on supporting organizations and donors to cooperate in providing construction materials for the rebuilding and resettlement of families affected by the earthquake.
