During a meeting, the Helmand Governor Alhaj Mowlavi Abdul Rahman "Muslim Kunduzai," accompanied by Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Mowlavi Ahmadullah "Zahed" and his delegation, the Director of Industry and Trade Qari Mohammad Naseem "Abdul Rahman," Helmand Chamber of Commerce President Alhaj Ghulam Yahya "Pashtun," Helmand Chamber of Industries and Mines President Haji Rahmatullah "Nazari," and numerous traders participated.
The purpose of this meeting was to promote economic growth, encourage investors, and find solutions to the challenges facing the private sector.
The heads of the Chambers of Commerce, Industries and Mines, along with many other traders and industrialists, spoke in turn, sharing their problems and putting forward several proposals including land allocation near the Lashkargah crossroads for the national industrial park, providing facilities for factory construction, building roads in the industrial park, initiating work, and ensuring continuous electricity supply.
According to them, within this industrial park, our traders will activate factories producing textiles, wire, syrilac, flour mills, solar lanterns, oils, pipes, medicines, and various other factories, creating employment opportunities for thousands of unemployed individuals.
The Helmand Governor, during the meeting, expressed great pride in meeting with traders and emphasized that for the prosperity and development of the province, the establishment of this industrial park will save our youth from dependence on foreign countries and provide them job opportunities domestically.
He called upon all traders to join hands in brotherhood and sincerely contribute to the reconstruction and development of the country. He stressed that various factories should be activated in this industrial park so that Afghanistan can become developed and self-reliant.
The Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade said that this is not only a major step for the people of Helmand but for the entire country. All traders should invest here in harmony, and he also urged Afghan traders residing abroad to take advantage of the assured security and invest.
He described Helmand as one of the largest provinces in terms of population and area and said that Helmand is a major agricultural province in the country that has historically exported to other provinces, and now it is necessary for this province to shine again in this area.
It is noteworthy that currently more than 150 different factories exist in this province, employing thousands of people.
